Nine Emperor Gods' Opera Backstage 2009
Faith...
Sometimes it is innocent and sometimes it is absurd...
Somehow it is measured individually and independently on how worth-worship it is...
It is again the celebration of the Nine Emperor Gods (九皇爺)...
Yet, I am still having more interested on the classic Chinese opera backstage prep in a temple called Nan Tien Kong (南天宮) located at Kampung Baru Ampang.
I was there last year when I took a photo and had it hang over a small & forgettable exhibition.
Most performers are some familiar old faces as the previous year...
Perhaps it is an extincting culture without anyone to inherit it...
Instead of B&W, I would just slightly desaturated them...
Life is tough for everyone...
We shall seek our own way to carry on...

not all old people have rich expression...
some only angry face and will scold you if you take their photos...
